Thanks so much for this. It *is* how she's want us to be.
"Best of luck" tomorrow. This is a big thing to ask, but if you could, in some small way, represent those of us who can't make it, but are there in spirit, that would be incredible.
How old is that pic? I wish it was clearer. I've not seen any pictures of Lori before she was ill.
Anyway... I'm babbling. So at this point I'll just offer ((((hugs))))
You made me cry. I feel exactly like this...I took her for granted, and now she's gone. Loved the picture..I never really knew what color her hair was. She looks so happy and healthy.
And thank you for reminding us about Lorie's kindness to animals. There was a story she told on LJ about a cat she and Rich had taken care of before it died... maybe about two years ago? I was so impressed by how generous and caring they were for an animal that wasn't even theirs.
I'll be thinking of you at the Mass tomorrow. *hugs*
It seems oddly fitting to go on a random quest one last time. The first time I met her was on a road trip to Springfield, Illinois to see the Trilogy Marathon. I'll put on that leaf pin one more time, load my backpack with snacks and let you guys know how it goes. Her kitty, Tony, was adorable. Her other deranged Siamese, Frodo, liked to lick the part in my hair. They both loved to camp out on Lorie's lap.

I'll wear my fellowship pin and and let Rich know that a lot of good wishes and prayers are winging their way to him.
