When I came home from work I saw this and I felt so strange. I felt I should have been there yet I really hardly knew her. I didn't realize her service was today.
This is such a perfect memory of her. I am only one month younger as my birthday is Oct 58. Its way too young. Its amazing how you can see someone, hear their voice and then see words online and know their heart. She was a beautiful and strong soul. She's hovering and peeking in I think. Look at that face and lovely hat. What a smile and such great eyes.

Lorie was like that. Even if you just met her, you felt like you'd known her forever. I'm so glad I was able to go today. To see even a small sampling of the lives she touched was an inspiration.

I was sitting in the back, because I managed to miss the street twice and ran in just minutes before the service started. Rather non-descript grey top, glasses and big ol' bun of hair. I'm sure we'll see each other if there's a memorial, right?
