Haha, Romney. I just saw a ,a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6DrH6P9OC0&feature=player_embedded">video the other day about his 180 on the health care issue. Don't know if that makes him admirable for going against his party in such a binary political climate, or it makes him deplorable for jumping on the winning bandwagon.

So have you been watching The West Wing again? My friend is just getting me into it now. I've had the first season sitting in a Genisis Concert box for 4 months now, and I'm just getting to it now that I'm done with Battlestar. Apples and oranges, but I think I like West Wing better.

I've been watching it on and off again and it really is a bit disturbing how prescient it is when it comes to the political fights we've just been having.

I'd say general rule of thumb with The West Wing is: the first two season are amazing. Just really sharp, sharp writing and acting. S3 and 4 are good but not quite as great and everything after that is, erm, a bit pants, to be honest, since that's when Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Schlamme both leave. Jimmy Smits and Alan Alda are supposed to be good when they come in but you have to slog through a lot to get to them.
