Reading this post brought back so many memories! <3 Maou was one of the first dramas I watched and it's probably my favorite even now! I think it's a masterpiece and I agree with everything you said.
It has a great pace, it's so intriguing and everything is really well-developed till the very end in terms of plot and characters. This drama made me realize just how good an actor Ohno is. In my opinion, it's his best role portrayal to date. Oh and I already liked Toma because of Hanakimi, but here he definitely stole my heart. (My nickname comes from another drama, but I picked it also because it's a secret nod to "Naoto", so to Toma <3 ( ... )

I've watched Gokusen, Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de, Kizoku Tantei, Mikeneko Holmes no Suiri, Freeter, Ie wo Kau, Kagi no Kakatta Heya, Kazoku Game, SakiBoku, 99.9, and Saigo no Yakusoku movie~
Just finished Maou and YamaTaro this break :3

Oh Liar Game! I read the manga and it was awesome! I really love Fukunaga! And Nao's character development was really great >v<

I agree. Gotta be honest, I'm someone who barely cried watching anything (even in Maou, the scene that made me cry were only the one on ep 7 with Naruse's sister and the one where Naoto's brother committed suicide. The ending broke my heart but yes, I didn't really cry XD
But for some reason, I cried at almost all Nino's drama I've watched, even in YamaTaro XDD
His delivery of his character is really great!
