I talked to a graduate of Stanford's MBA program, now a real estate salesman in Palo Alto, about 6 years ago. He wanted, at the time, to get me into the same MBA program and he told me what he thought the principle advantages to an MBA are. In short, he told me, it gives you a way to investigate and examine any particular business plan - from the smallest to the largest, and design it from the ground up. Those sorts of skills, he maintained, are valuable no matter what you are doing.

I read your post and thought about that conversation. I also thought about CFR telling Achad that when you run into any problem, the best way to solve it is to approach it in business terms.
