Names and Logos

Hillary came over yesterday morning for breakfast, which was awesome, and i gave one of my sudoku wall hangings to her because her roommate had asked for it. (Plus i have its Doppleganger at home.) It occurred to me as i gave it to her that i really should put a label on it, and since i know i'm going to put a label on the quilt i'm selling it seems like now would be a good time to think up a logo/alias/name for myself. when my aunt Lynn was making things she would put a label saying "Hot Off Stickyfingers", she being "Stickyfingers."

I initially thought labels were dumb (i haven't made so many things that i'll have trouble remembering if i made it or not) but I was talking to my coworkers at the fabric store in berkeley and they pointed out that labels are nice in case someone later is trying to find things that you've made, or if someone is studying quilts from a specific region, it helps to know by whom, when and where a quilt was made. it seems mildly pretentious to think that someone will eventually be studying my quilts, but even i have noticed a progression in my stye and all and i think it would be pretty cool to have it all written down on the quilts.

what kind of label? I was thinking i could take a generic ticket stub and maybe make it like the piece is an event. for example, here's one
ticket idea that i came up with.  I could print out a sheet of them onto the cool fabric paper you can run through your printer (a recent development in photo transfer technology) and just leave the Quilt Name and Date Finished blank and hand write that stuff in later. it would be a small label that i could stick along some edge where it wouldn't be annoying. I wish my ticket looked cooler, but this is just the prototype. I would probably take a real ticket and see if I could scan it rather than swiping images off of google, which would also make it look a little cooler. (But if i'm only using one ticket, do i care enough to try and change the numbers on the side for the different quilts?) Also, my best idea for a "Cool Logo Name" is "Stickyfingers' Niece" which is kind of totally cheating and stealing the cool name my aunt came up with.

Input? ideas? questions comments concerns?
