To add on to what teaclouds and operafloozy said it is also that it is so similar to Spanish Flu (1918) and that it seems to be popping up a lot of different places. I belive there are cases or suspected cases in China and Russia, I know there have been testing done in Norway. The spanish flu killed between 20 and 100 million people world wide.

Personally, I am freaking out more because the WHO might declare this a international crisis which might lead to closing of borders, and I really would like to get home this summer.
