That particular version of 47 Ginger-Headed Sailors wouldn't happen to have been performed by an Englishman with a remarkable resemblance to House, would it? ^_~

Only if Wilson happens to be a fan of a British TV show starring a character with a remarkable resemblance to House. ^_~
Thank you! I hope you were in at least a semi-public place so you could freak out the people around you while you laughed; personally, I've always found that to add considerably to the experience.
Oh REALLY?! How terribly interesting. Now correct me if I'm wrong (which I'm not, but all the same), but the singer of that lovely ditty is Hugh Laurie shaped, no?
Catullus
Okay this one is perhaps more obscure...unless you have, perhaps, read and/or seen The Invention of Love by Tom Stoppard.
Right. So I did the whole nature documentry thing to one of my friends once. He was less than amused. I, on the other hand, could not have been more amused. This story just brought back so many happy memories. Thanks!

Let's just say that if 47 Ginger-Headed Sailors failed to produce results, House was going to move on to Minnie the Moocher next.

No, Tom Stoppard's brilliance has only recently been brought to my attention, so Arcadia is the only one of his plays with which I'm familiar (although I'll certainly add The Invention of Love to my reading list). I threw Catullus in there because:
a) As a classical poet, he's certainly less inane than the magazines in hospital waiting rooms b) His poems seem right up House's alley c) He's not exactly what you'd call workplace-appropriate d) it was a bit of a nod to House's Holmesian roots, since Holmes once disguised himself as an old bookseller and tried to get Watson to take a copy of Catullus's poems

And House being the writer! Awesome!

Which he isn't, mind; he has plenty of time on his hands, so he really has no excuse for not doing so.
