Oooh, that was lovely. I loved their interactions and the end is very fitting. Also, the idea of losing innocence was really good - and it makes a lot of sense! Thanks for writing this!

very nice! i enjoyed it immensely :)

the only nit-pick i would have (and it is a nit-pick) is that Molly wouldn't know what a magazine was. other than that, excellently done!

I'm glad you liked it! ^_^ It's been too long since I've read/seen The Last Unicorn; I'm starting to miss it.

Actually, in the novel, at one point there's a prince (I can't remember now if it was Lir or not, and I can't check) reading a magazine. Those little incongruities sprinkled in every so often are one of the (many) things that always amused me so much about the book - you see it once in a while in the movie, like Cully offering Schmendrick a taco, but they're much more pronounced in the novel. I'm more than happy to have people nitpicking at this, though, so thank you!

Wow! Very nice! This was excellent, I love how you fit Yuuko into the story, and the whole explaination about a maiden's first kiss was creative. The only thing off was what mesembria mentioned above, about the magazine. Molly might think it was a strange book without a hard-cover, but not a modern-day magazine.

Thank you! xxxHOLiC crosses over well with just about anything, but for some reason, I really like the ways it could fit with The Last Unicorn.

The novel actually does occasionally have throwaway lines about people reading magazines and eating tacos and the like (well, the movie does too, but it's less noticeable); I love those little anomalies just because they do sort of throw you for a minute, and it seemed to fit Yuuko, so I went ahead and included it. I really appreciate getting criticism, though!

Hey, this is wonderful! I really like the tone of your writing; it's very similar to the book.
Also, considering Molly's age and bitterness when she meets the Unicorn, perhaps Yuuko took a bit more than a first kiss?

Ah, thank you so much! I don't think anyone can match Peter S. Beagle's style except Beagle himself, but I'm glad mine wasn't too far off.

I think Yuuko's prices are rarely exactly what they seem on the surface.
