So like, Don is a big PInk Floyd fan, right? Of course that'd affect me in some regards but usually, for many years, I saw Pink Floyd as just a band that I could respect for their musical acheivements and influences. I wasn't into them really. I could pick out some of their songs on the radio, and I've always known people who were "hardcore fans ( Read more... )

daniel wanted to have a movie night and invite friends to watch the wall but we decided against it because a lot of people probably won't show up.

i love pink floyd but i feel like a poser because i claim to love them so much but i haven't seen the wall. i've seen bits and pieces, just not the whole thing. i'll watch it one day. hell, maybe tonight.

Dude, I'd so be there.

It was really good. It makes you sad. And it's just really neat how it's put together.

You'll enjoy it.

All I can say is congratualtions for being tunred onto The Wall. Is is such a great record and my all time favorite movie. Like Fawne said, I REALLY want to have a movie night and show it but I just don't know enough people open to the experience. The movie is very close to me and I really feel like I can relate to pink in a lot of ways which is scary so the last thing I want is people tearing down the movie and saying you have to be on drugs to understand it, etc. As crazy as it sounds, an attack on the movie would be an attack on me because I would love nothing more than to share it with others but in doing so I become totally exposed. If that makes sense. It is just something I would really want people to get into and like or at least be open to. I remember trying to play When The Tigers Broke Free for Shane and a few others and they pretty much made fun of it. It really hurt me/pissed me off. Don't look for that track on the LP. Its only on the movie. It is just so moving and really touches me ( ... )

Hehe, yeah I know what you mean, I really like the Goodbye Blue Sky piece in the movie.

Alot of people I think can relate to Pink. That's why it's so popular, I guess.

BTW, I have recently discovered that mp3s are nowhere nears as great in quality and clarity. So, if you wanted to make me a CD of mp3s, that would be okay, but I think I'll be buying most of the Pink Floyd I get.
