Her potasium level was down so low it was in a danger zone of being on the verge of going into a coma... she also had high levels of acid in her blood which could basically kill her... it was a scary thing for awhile when she kept having to check herself into the hospital.  After ( Read more... )

Don't worry it's not that bad, I found out I was allergic to wheat 3 years ago when my throat closed. At first it was really hard to find foods but now I hardly even notice it. And I Feel soo much better, little things that I never would have thought were related to my wheat allergy like aches and pains, sore feet, headaches, have totally disappeared. Go to health food stores, there's lots of good crackers and breads and even at most regular grocery stores there are rice pastas and stuff that you can buy there. And tell her to be careful with things you would never notice, like soya sauce, and Smarties! I never knew those things had wheat in them until I got sick after eating them. Ok I'll stop writing now :P goodluck to your sister and you and hopefully the whole thing will be a good thing because she'll feel better.

Yeah we realized the soy sauce had wheat in it, cause she practically lives on that stuff lol We found an organic soy sauce that has no wheat or glutton so she was pretty happy :D. Yeah its not that hard to cut certain foods out of your diet if you can find substitutes or just think differntly about the way you eat. She's being really positive about making this whole change, cause on top of it she's diabetic and epileptic too.

Oh and I cant believe smarties have wheat in them! damn!
