Ah, that is lovely. I just this morning got back from a five-day trip, swearing at the wet tent, set up in the living room to air, at sleeping bags draped damp over every surface, at trying to pick up work again. Thank you for the reminder.
i haven't done too much tent-camping; some on the roadtrip, except that i figured out that in a lot of places it's both easier and more comfortable for me to just sleep in Matilda (my wagon).
but the Grand Canyon was amazing, and Utah's parks and old stones caught my heart even harder. I want to go on long horseback trips through the parts of the country that the roads don't reach. I want to see Wyoming again; I drove through the sunset and the evening there on twisty winding two-lane highways through high scrub drylands and mountains, and I was full of amazement the whole time.
