19. & 20. Control of Nature and Table of Contents, John McPhee. both excellent, and deserving of the far more thorough write-up that i'm not going to do right now.

21. The Big Over Easy, Jasper Fforde. wasn't as impressed by this one as by his other books, but it was a fun light read anyhow.

i've actually been consuming books at a much slower rate than usual, and and doing at least some fair bit of studying every day for the past...um. three? four? *sigh*

but yes, the McPhee books were excellent; thank you very much for the lend.

also: i'm back in town! want to catch up for studying again sometime soon? when might be good?

This makes me so happy. I have bought and given away countless copies of Control of Nature. I now have two copies, mostly so I can have an extra for when someone says, "No, I've never read that," and I can reply, "What??" and give them one.

hee! awesome.

and, related to our conversation yesterday, Table of Contents was, I think, the book that had an essay called "Heirs of General Practice" in it, with some interesting bits about rural family-medicine/GPs.
