Oh Jesus. I don't think I could even enjoy cockroaches if they were really cute dancers, not after living in the South for 11 years!

I didn't think so either, and I've lived in some part of the South for nearly 20 years. I was wrong!

I laughed, I smiled, I want some dancing girls of my own.

I'm glad the good and the sparkly and the little happinesses are finding you.

And the po'boys. Always the po'boys.

*grin* I hope you get to visit one of these days, and I hope it's sometime when we can go off and have adventures around here.

There are many little happinesses, and big ones, too. Also lots of crazy, and lots of hard work, and lots of hard, but that's not surprising. I did just get a week of vacation, which was wonderful and renewing...now I'm back, but able to come at it a little fresher, with a smile again.

I am cracking up at the idea of the palmetto bug dancers. I don't have the KILL IT KILL IT KILL IT horror that most of my Southern friends do, but I also would never have thought to dress up as one and attempt to be attractive. [giggling]

Did you leave an under-windshield note for your fellow vintage wagoner? I would have been far too tempted to try to make friends that way.

They were really charming. :)

I didn't leave a note -- so far, most other vintage-station-wagon folks are not necessarily people I'd have much else in common with. Not sure about 'round here, though.

(Sadly, the station wagon is developing new problems faster than I can keep up. I think the humidity and general Weather is taking a pretty heavy toll on her.)
