I'm back. Yeah I know, I never post. But this time it was for a good reason, as you may have seen in my previous post.
A lot has happened in the past few weeks...
Let's start with the good stuff (well, nevermind, all of its good!)
My sister is on a great road to recovery. She was supposed to get out on Monday but that didn't happen. She actually was pretty nauseated from the pill regimen for the past week, and they wouldn't send her home until she felt better. They have tried several different medicines to quell that, but after a few tries she seems to be able to eat and not get sick for a whole day. I hope that today she didn't get sick either because if she is still doing well then tomorrow afternoon she gets to make her "jailbreak".
I finally have internet at home. Its pretty cool. I didn't even have to get cable or telephone to get it. Technology is an amazing thing. I have a BPL, through the electric company. I've had for about 2 weeks now and it is pretty good as far as speed and consistency go.
Since I had to leave so abruptly a few weekends ago, I didn't really get to unpack from my big move. So, when I came back last week, it was a mess. I couldn't find anything last week, I got so frustrated I finally just spent a whole evening trying to sort through everything.
I feel like I have fallen into a blackhole. It was hard to get back on track at work. I didn't even know what was going on with a project that I am team leader on! I had stuff to approve and meetings to go to, it was a mess. Thank god I didn't have any travel schedule for the next couple weeks or else I would be one unhappy camper.
I bought a couple of pieces of furniture last weekend and Conor helped me put them together. My friends are anxious to see what my place looks like. Hopefully they can come see it when it is less trashed. I am hoping I can find a cheap sewing table/desk at a rummage sale or on craigslist. The one I really want is the one I saw on display at West Elm. My sewing stuff is here there and everywhere. Good thing my patterns are at my parents' and not here or else we would be having issues.
On another note, what is up with that My Space crap? That website is full of weird stuff. I know people tend to put a lot on here, but some of the stuff you see people putting on their myspace accounts is ridiculous.
