a must see tribute

Jan 24, 2003 17:36

We are coming upon nearly a full year since we lost what was, in my opinion, the greatest rock n roll voice since Robert Plant. Please take a little time and patience to watch this tribute to a very important musical figure.

Its good to cry

Grab all the photos you can find of mr. staley, save them to your computer, then do your own homemade slideshow and soundtrack it to the song "Whale And Wasp". Hearing that song makes me cry, and seeing his face for once without listening to him nearly beg for help in his lyrics is somehow a relief from the pain of his death. Try it. The song is only a few minutes long and has no lyrics. I promise you that you wont regret it.

i believe layne committed suicide and that kurt was murdered. Not many share the same perspective. I could give you all sorts of arguements as to why Kurt was murdered and did not commit suicide, but i can summarize in a single statement why i believe layne killed himself. The toxicologist said that layne died on the same day kurt's body was found, which is beyond coincidence to me. I dont blame him though. Imagine being layne staley. Very few teeth left; have to wear long sleeve shirts and gloves all day to prevent people from seeing his abcesses and track marks bleeding and pussing, immense physical pain, and most of all, a bank account that gives you a reason to continue. Its a tragic loss. He was brilliant.
