I've been talking to my American coworkers in Japan for a bit and have sorted out getting furniture for my apartment immediately upon arrival, finding a car...

Excellent! This is always the most stressful and time-consuming part for me. Not the actual acquisition, but the thinking about it and planning it out and worrying about it. Once it's taken care of, let the excitement begin!

I know! I'm so glad I got all of that taken care of, and the person selling me all there stuff being so relaxed about it. I'm so excited!

I'm in the small city of Tsuru in Yamanashi prefecture, about an hour or two by train to the west of Tokyo (I'm actually closer to Tokyo than the only big city in my prefecture).
