asodfjdi I adore this, thank you so much for writing my prompt! I have wanted this fic for so long, and this is such a great interpretation, the longing and the regret are so intense. I especially loved the moment when Hikaru came to Pavel at night, when Pavel still had his guard down and let himself be held. ;__; It was so bittersweet when Pavel pushed him away, but it was wonderful to see them happy together at the end. :))

I am so happy you liked it and your prompt was just insanely wonderful... I would love to see your approach to this. The part with Pavel at night was one of the first sections I wrote. It kind of helped to build the rest. Thank you for reading and, well, liking it!

I must not be such a nice person, because i really love the idea of Pavel foundering in guilt-filled angst. I like that Hikaru is the knight in shining armor here, though the battle is a largely internal one, and Hikaru has his own abandonment issues to deal with. I also enjoyed Hikaru's flashbacks, they were really immersive and emotional.

Thank you for reading! I think the flashback scenes were some of my favorite although it was unusual for me to write them. And guilt-filled stubborn Pavel is a fav for me too!
