Border agents can now search through your laptop without reasonable suspicion. Apparently they have been able to read through diaries and personal documents for a while

Ummm...this is wierd b/c well....I'll be working alongside border agents. I wonder if this is going to come up in training, orientation, etc. But, yeah, it is kinda worrying. Kinda makes you want to switch your display language to Quenya or something just to screw with them. ;-P

I know you won't be an evil power-hungry border agent, but there are people who--despite the government's best efforts--end of in position of power they should not be in. This is why we have check&balances and rights and constitutions. *sigh?* It would be very interesting if/how this comes up in training, since the decision was just made but the original plantiff is appealing.
