(today in Tokyo there was a huge thunder storm complete with scary lightning)

Hmm...sounds like a typical summer day on the East Coast. My friend did say it was hot like Florida when she went last July.

At least you'll be used to it for when you go to South Carolina, insha'Allah. :)
