I am tired...oh so very tried...I didn't want to come to work this morning...not that i didn't want to work, i just didn't want to get out of bed. I have the next 3 days to work 13 hours, so to say I wasn't worried about completing these hours is an understatement. But the boy and the two cats decided that I had to get up, regardless of how many ( Read more... )

Tiffani was a psycho, she deserved what she got. Having drive is one thing, being overly aggressive and undermining the people around you and then expecting them to step up for you is another thing.

Probably due to crafty editing, but at least from the observers point of view Harold managed to maintain his integrity, friendliness and still compete, at least by comparison. In my mind it was a great example of virtue bringing its own reward, you throw other people under the bus for your own benefit, it will come back to haunt you.

I'm not saying that Harold shouldn't have won. I'm saying that i think that Tiffani got a lot of cr@p cause she was out there aggressivly going for what she wanted. Plus, I don't think it was unreasonable for her to ask Dave to take his wine off of the line, and I think she had every right to be upset with them for not only showing up late, but they were still drunk from the night before.

I think she realized that she had no real friends there, and that she should've gone about things differently, but it was too late, because no one was willing to accept that she was making an effort. Not to mention that both her and Harold's best dishes last night were created by other chef's, but only Tiffani caught cr@p about it.

I just think that a lot of it was unfair, and in the end there wasn't really so much of a clear cut winner, that one of them was a better cook then the other, it came down to a popularity contest.

I think the fact that Harold's best dish was actually Miguel's but nobody felt they had to throw him under the bus for it, makes my point exactly. Harold made a team environment, gave ownership to his people and kept their trust and respect. I think this is what makes a 'Chef' something more than a 'Cook'.

That is pretty much my take on Tiffani. Aggression is just one tool that someone can use to achieve their goals and rarley is it a very successful one, nor is it a particularly pleasant one, I thought there was definetly a clear cut winner.

Tiffani wasn't the only one who threw someone under the bus, it happened plenty of times. Although she is the only one that got remembered for it.

I also don't think that she ever threw Dave under the bus, Dave did that himself by failing to complete the third dish in the elimination round. He would have been the clear cut choice to compete against Harold in the final, but he screwed himself.

I also think that if they had been given teams of chefs to work with, that they hadn't been previously choosen over, there would have been a different outcome. To base the decision on people who are or aren't their friends is ridiculous, and i don't think it gave an accurate picture of how they both can preform.

Harold is a nice guy all around, and I'm glad he won in the end. But Tiffani definately got the raw side of the deal, and people were just waiting to hose her because they were bitter.
