I'm going to be honest.. I didn't understand the last part of that, about the guy. It's probably a situation you're dealing with that you just didn't go into depth with.
Anyways, about your parents drilling it into your head to be perfect.. I can't personally relate, but my best friends' mom tries to make her into this robot that will do every single thing right. It stresses her out like crazy. This school year, though, she's become just a little more independent from her mom. I know it's hard for you, and I deeply care about grades, too, but no one can do everything right, much as we'd like to.
