myspace "top 8" - what does it really mean?

so, i know this is probably one of the silliest things ever to get mad about, but today michael removed me from his "top 8" in myspace. i wasn't bumped down a few notches, i was completely removed. both of our profiles are closed for maintenance right now, so i can't even see if i'm even still a friend of his...although i guess i'd know that by him

I don't think he did it with the intention of hurting you... but I do think he's an asshole, and a side effect of that is that you *did* get hurt.

He's a jerk. All men are. And any good one will actually tell you that. If he hasn't deleted you from his friends list, you should delete him. It *is* only myspace, but it sure feels good to get rid of baggage, even if it's just something small like that. That way, every time you log onto myspace, you don't have to look at his stupid face. (I recently deleted a guy I dated not too long ago... and it's SO nice to not have to see his stupid face now.)

(I know we don't know each other... but I hate seeing a good woman get herself down over a boy. :-])

yeah, that's pretty much what everyone has said...that he did do it with at least a little bit of malice, knowing full well that it would hurt my feelings.

i'm not going to delete him completely, that would childish and sinking to his level...but i just decided to go ahead and put all bands and fake people that i don't really know (like george harrison) in my top 8 so that NO ONE is there and gets their feelings hurt. that stuff is just so STUPID.

yep, men are jerks. we actually just had a conversation about that in my office mere moments ago...LA men especially and so that makes it even harder.

ah well...
