Dear 43 year old grad student who lives upstairs,

I understand that you like your peace and quiet. I really do. That is why I am, for the most part, quiet.  I generally don't play my music too loud, nor do I yell much.  However, I have one simple favor to ask- please, if at any time I bother you, just come and tell me and I will stop said ( Read more... )

one day (s)he is going to drop one of those weights on one of his/her feet. Possibly both. Then maybe it'll sink in that being an obnoxious neighbor is a bad, bad idea.

he.

and I can only wish such a fate upon him right now...

there is asbestos in these ceilings... and every time he drops a weight on the floor, it shakes my ceiling.

so help me, if I get mesothelioma, I'm hunting him down and taking everything he owns and selling it on e-bay!!

take him to court and get $15 mil from him...maybe then he'll realize that he shouldn't be such an ass.

good luck.

I bet it's just that there's little between your ceiling and their floor to muffle the sound of their footsteps...

Why is a 43 year old grad student still living in on-campus apartments?

Seriously, kick him in the shins, or call the cops the next time he's blaring music at 5:15 in the morning. Let them deal with him.

next time he does that or drops weights, the cops are getting called for disturbing the peace.

that's what mom told me to do.

mom's smart, listen to her.

Don't listen to me or dad...because our initial advice will likely be very similar...inflict bodily harm first, ask him to stop after.

I'd be happy to come and shove the weights up his ass if I lived closer. Although that's a waste of perfectly good weights.

My pleasure, of course. I enjoy these things far more than I should, probably.
