congrats on the test :)
i wouldnt get a car that has that many miles on it. the more miles a car has on it, the more problems it has, and that means more money you have to pay to keep it from falling apart even further.

The car actually doesn't have that many miles at ALL considering it is 9 yrs...that's impressive, actually.

I would say...get it completely looked at at a car place or by someone you know and trust (and who knows about cars of course) and if they don't see any major problems in the near future (esp. check engine, alternator, and starter) then I would say it sounds like a good deal...

But, that's my opinion, and I don't know terribly much about cars...so take that with a grain of salt!

Don't rule grad school out with a low GPA. I know one person at Toledo who got into the grad program with a 2.8 GPA; he didn't get an assistantship his first year, but did get one his second year, and continues to be funded.

My advice: be realistic about where you apply. Don't bother with big name schools. Look at smaller schools with an interest in growing their program (read: they need grad students in order to become more competitive). Try to find programs that suit your interests. Contact professors you want to work with. Figure out EXACTLY what you want to do with your degree, and in your admissions essay, outline it. If you don't know, fake it. If you have a plan, they're more likely to accept you.

What exactly do you want to go to grad school to study? Maybe I can give better advice.

Yay passing! And big hugs to you ... school stress (well, really, figuring-out-what-to-do-with-your-life-and-how-to-make-it-happen stress) is hard. I have faith in you, though.

(One saving grace: Once you get out of school, no one particularly cares if you had a 3.0 or a 2.9 ... they care if you can do a good job and if you have experience and so on. And, honestly, grad schools don't necessarily care deeply about grades and numbers. Some do; some don't. The program I was in was really more interested in who you were, what interesting things you'd done/were interested in doing, diversity, etc. Like someone mentioned above, and like I forget nearly every day, God is in control.)

...

On the car ... depends on what kind it is. If it were a Toyota or Honda (or Prizm) and it checked out with a mechanic as in good condition, I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat. I'm not sure about other car brands. Of course, I own a '98 Camry with more miles than that, and paid more than that! :)

LoL, I've never known anyone to get so excited over a C! ^_^

About the car ... I guess it would depend upon what type of car it is, and what its condition is.
