the other day, a friend told me that viewing depressingly artistic films makes him happy because he leaves the theater still carrying the emotion of the film with him. i really do not understand why one would wish to haul sadness around. for the entire day, i have been stuck in an emotional hole. all i have been doing is staring blankly into space

great to hear from you. hope all is well in sunny cali. everything is going fairly well here. ready to graduate, take a year off, and then start school again. i've actually been considering heading out to california for grad school because i've decided i need a change of environment.
