"Mou, Ryuu-kun come back here!" Michiyo Shizuna shouted while pursuing her bestfriend because he took her homemade lunch.
"Catch me, if you can!" Ryutaro giggles and run faster.
Michiyo run faster towards her bestfirend until she realizes that they were already made it on the rooftop.
"Ne, can you please..." She was now out of breath and can't utter words.
"Here, Gomen" Ryutaro said then bowed in front of her. Finally he gave her bento back.
Michiyo smiled seeing her bestfirend apologizes and bowing at her. But still mad at him. Ryutaro saw her smile and thought that he was already forgiven so he smiled back, not a smile though but a big grin. Michiyo saw that grin and got a little bit annoyed so she smacked him on the head.
"ITAI!!" Ryutaro whined because of the pain and cried crocodile tears.
"That serves you right! Making me run 1000 miles huh!" Michiyo told him and stuck out her tongue to Ryutaro.
"Mou, YOU ARE OVER-REACTING! I didn't make you run 1000 miles!" He replied still crying but not really crying, he was acting that the smack really hurt.
"Whatever! Okay, I'm over-reacting! An stop that acting alreday!" She replied accepting her defeat.
"Haha, I won! Anyways Gomen ne. I just want to show you something that's why I made you run to get here." Ryutaro explained and at the same time apologizes.
"Eh? Nani?" Michiyo asked with her oh-so-cute confused face.
Ryutaro pulled her to a place somewhere on the rooftop that has a good angle for viewing the cherry blossom trees formed into a heart shape.
"SUGOOI! Is it naturally made? Sugoi!" Michiyo said very amazed of the view.
"Of course not! It's purposely made! BA-KA!" Ryutaro said getting a bit annoyed of her stupidity striking again.
"Bakajanai yo! It's really a good view ne. How did you discover this?" She asked Ryutaro still focusing on the view.
"I just saw it coincidentally. So I really don't how it is formed." He was like a professional teacher explaining to his very curious student.
And awkward silence occurs. No one talks. Michiyo was focusing on the view while Ryutaro was focusing on Michiyo's face with those calm and lovely eyes.
"Ne, my birthday is tomorrow already..." Ryutaro said cutting the awkward silence and focused his eyes on the view.
"Hmm, I know." Michiyo said and was confused a little bit but still she smiled at Ryutaro.
"Want to know my wish?" He said in his serious tone of voice. "My wish is that when I confess to this girl she would tell me that she has same feelings towards me. Even though I know its impossible."
"Ohh.."
That was the only word came out from Michiyo's mouth for she can't deny that she was hurt of what she heard. She knows that she likes, no, she loves Ryutaro since first grade. She was hurt to know that he already liked someone else.
"That girl.. the one who made my heartbeat stop the first time I saw her. The one who completes and sometimes ruins my day. The one who serves as my air when I can't breathe. That girl is you, Michiyo Shizuna." Ryutaro said and faced her. Ready to accept her answer whether she rejects or accepts his feelings.
Michiyo was really shocked of the words came out from his mouth. She was speechless, thinking of what she will say to him. It was like a lightning hit her. But deep inside of her she was happy, very happy indeed. She smiled and answered him.
"I, Michiyo Shizuna, knows that I have the same feelings with this boy named Ryutaro Morimoto. I accept his feelings an do wish that he will also accept my feelings. The boy that I love is you, Morimoto." She said then smiled.
Hearing those words, Ryutaro stood up and hugged her tightly for he was very happy that they both have the same feelings. Michiyo hugged him back and smiled.
"Advance Happy Birthday Ryu-kun! And this is your advance gift from me!" Michiyo said then chuckled and pinched Ryutaro's right cheek.
"Hai, the best gift I've ever received. My wish did come true for you made it come true. Aishiteru Michiyo!" Ryutaro said and broke the hug to see Michiyo's face and smiled.
"So did I. I love you more." Michiyo replied him back and smiled. The best smile ever.
