HP is evil! If you ever need to return the product because it is faulty through their warranty, forget it. It will be easier to pull out your own teeth with a spoon. I have been there and done that and the only reason I have an HP printer now is because this is all I could replace my previous piece of crap with. The camera itself might be decent, but the company and their customer service cronies are all half-wits.

My suggestion is try it out at the store and see what kind of pics both cameras take. And for the love of god, buy a warranty. That is the only way I managed not to have to fork out $150 for a new printer because HP can't seem to put together printers properly.

I know Myssi has a HP camera but I don't know the model. Her camera takes pretty good pictures outside and in bright daylight, some of the flash stuff winds up looking like your basic point and shoot. But overall it has served her well. If you want to judge the pictures for yourself go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/somervillerockcity/ this is the flickr account Myssi and I share. The first two pages are stuff I've been taking with my camera phone but if you go to any of the sets of photos they are have been taken with Myssi's camera.

And if you do get the HP, get a warranty. Myssi's camera acted up on her a month after she got it. Apparently something was defective.
