Oh God my sister is driving me insane.
My sister in all her 21 years of experience has decided that a 34 year old man that when to jail for two and a half years for spousal abuse is her perfect man. This is a really bad situation, and there really isn't much that you can do. You do have some options - you have every right to talk to your sister, even if the last thing that she said to you was "Happy Birthday," because she is your sister, and you probably want to keep her from harm. Even if SHE believes she is doing the right thing for herself, you should feel free to give her a warning or two if you feel it's necessary.
Be that as it may, the only real way you can tell what you should do, is to think about the next time you look yourself in the mirror. If things go well for your sister, or if things go poorly, either way, you need to be able to look at the busty blonde in the mirror and tell her that she did everything that she could. If you're satisfied that you've done that, then you're at a good point.
At least, that's how I gauge what I need to do, or how I try to, at least. I can't always say that to the man in the mirror, but I do my best to be able to.
