What she does see is the way her father's face brightens (almost as bright as their Christmas lights), and the smacking kiss he lands on her mother's face as he hands the camera over to her more capable hands.
Kate mugs for her mother holding a Christmas ornament, the flash blinding and leaving dancing spots before her eyes. Her vision clears just in time for her to watch her dad dangle mistletoe above her mother's head.
