Oh, this is adorable. Just an incredibly sweet and peaceful portrait of the two of them as they negotiate life together. They're both full-speed-ahead all the time, you know they'd have these kinds of problems, especially with the careers JKR has picked out for them!
Lovely job. :)
one thing though -- can you add a link to the challenge masterlist to your header? Thanks!
Thanks so much! I'm glad you read and liked it. My own schedule unfortunately will not allow me to check out for the next 4 or 5 days just to read fic, and it's a bit frustrating. But, I'm trying to look at the bright side - if I read one fic or look at one piece of art a day, I'll have enough H/G goodness to last for weeks.
Sorry about forgetting the link - all fixed now. And kudos for organizing such a fantastic exchange!
This was so, so beautiful! I really feel like I was reading a glimpse of their life in the future written as JKR might have imagined it. It's so real and Harry and Ginny are so in character, and so in love with each other (even after everything a marriage puts on a relationship) and their kids, and it's just great.
James, who never stopped moving while awake, never moved once asleep. This is the perfect description of my 8 yo son! You must have kids, because that line is just bloody brilliant! And I completely understand Harry's feelings here, because the last year or two, as my son completely leaves babyhood and you can see the beginnings of the young man he already is and the man he is to come, and it's just wonderful and heartbreaking all at the same time.

I'm really glad you thought so - that's exactly what I was hoping to convey.
And you picked out my favorite line of the whole fic - inspired by my own 6 yo son. You're right - watching them grow is magical and heartbreaking, and I get more protective of my time with him the older he gets.
Oh this was perfect! I absolutely love all of it. Your characterisations are spot on, right down to the Potter children, and I love that you wrote several transitions for me. I like that they didn't have a full-blown fight, that Ginny still understands Harry's nobility, even though it keeps getting in the way of how they want to live their life together.
Mostly, I love that they're still hot for each other ;o) Thank you, thank you, thank you for this fantastic little glimpse into Mature Harry and Ginny. It was more than I was expecting, and I was already expecting high quality when I saw the list if sign ups!
Oh, YAY! I am so glad (and relieved) that you liked it. I had never contemplated writing about an older Harry and Ginny until I got the assignment, but I had to laugh at r_becca's wisdom - getting older is something I certainly know about!

Thanks - that means a lot to me.

Your characterizations are spot on. I kept thinking how great it was to see what Harry and Ginny's lives were like after the books and then had to remind myself that JKR didn't write this. (Then, of course comes the acceptance that Harry and Ginny are not actually real, but I suppose I'll work that out later.)
Anyway, you made their ordinary, everyday lives so interesting and believable and precious that I feel like I could drop in and spy on them everyday if you wrote it.

What a terrific compliment! *blushes*
the acceptance that Harry and Ginny are not actually real
I know what you mean - I struggle with that on a daily basis.
