THIS IS AWESOME! I haven't seen the 12 Monkeys series but I have the movie practically memorized, and I'm fairly up to date on Timeless. This is perfect! It's one of the best 'two characters from different shows meet in a bar' fics I've ever read.

I love the bantering antagonistic friendship dynamic you have between them. Even though this is short, the dialogue you've written is really effective at fleshing out that relationship and its history/future by showing rather than an expository lump, as well as providing enough details of each world for the unfamiliar to get a sense of each character.

Aww thank you so much!!! *blushes*. Seriously, if you've not seen 12 Monkeys, give it a try. I'm not kidding when I say it's the best sci-if on TV at the moment! (Although it's not actually on on at the moment!) It's on iTunes and Amazon and Hulu in the States (not sure about in Canadaland!)

I wanted to dislike Timeless because of some unfortunate comments co-showrunner Shawn Ryan made, basically saying Timeless was aimed at idiots who couldn't understand complex stories (paraphrasing!) and he basically criticised shows like 12 Monkeys for being too complicated for the average viewer to follow!! Anyway, I watched anyway (felt I owed it to Kripke!) and I really like it. It's kind of time travel bubblegum for the eyes but it's fun in a different way to 12 Monkeys, which is just mind-blowing, and you kind of have to concentrate!

That explains the bone-stupid temporal mechanics on Timeless. It's a fun sort of retro-feeling show, but the inconsistent rules of causality and the mish-mash of rigid and rubber time rules would be enough to drive a person bats if they tried to make them all make sense. XD

Heh heh, yep, I totally don't think I could write a full Timeless fic as it would probably annoy me too much trying to stick to the rules!
