i am wearing new shoes and my stomach feels weird. like the first day of school. which is kind of true. only i have to be there for 1.5 hours and i will be making art with 4-6 middle schoolers with "behavior problems". what if they all don't want to make art and they all don't want to do anything and they hate me and make fun of my new shoes. i'll ( Read more... )

wow! that would be shocking to see a neighbor having sex on the couch through the window.
i bet the "behavior problem" middle schools will like your new shoes just fine. and i bet at least a couple of them will want to do things like art.

you should get that man's phone number so when you see him doing something you don't wanna see, like sex or nose picking, you can call him up and be like "hey , shut your curtain i don't want to see you having sex or picking your nose."

also, be nice to the kids and treat them like an equal and they'll love you because nobody (especially kids who are labelled as behavior problem kids) ever treats them with respect or lets them be them. but at the same time, kids in that environment always test the limits of new adults. so don't let them be rude to you. but you're so nice, they'll love you! and i bet they'll like your shoes.

yeah, that is why this place is really cool. cuz they get to come over, out of their normal (probably really shitty) environments into a place that treats them with respect and patience. i can see how good it is for them. too bad its only for an hour and a half, twice a week.
