While my troubles with PL's next chapter continue, I'm going to be posting the rejected and alternate chapters for some of the previous posts. Maybe this will help me get out of my rut as well, since the newest chapter is looking to be a very long one. So many flashbacks....

Anyway! Here is an alternate version of Chapter 15, when Luke and Hershel

I'm thinking the official one is better, but this one isn't bad either XD And it's ok, take your time; as long as it's not dead, I can take a little waiting :)

BTW. Icon love. And the music? Makes me cry >_>; I can't help it, it always reminds me of that scene from Scrubs...

I think I like the "official" one a lot more, old!Luke seems... really out of character here, for some reason. Particularly the line where he accuses the Professor of "bringing him pain"; while I agree that Luke having been made the Professor's adopted son and etc would have definitely been traumatic/painful, I highly doubt he'd blame the Professor at all, even if it was an unintentional remark.

But dammit I'm still waiting for the next chapter rarrrrrrgh ;__;

Yeah, after it was done and beta'd, my husband said the same about Luke. So the second half of the chapter was replaced by the edited version of the first draft. Personally, I like the official one too.

Maybe the OOC Luke was just me in his shoes venting over the frustration of the chapter? Hmm.
