Falling off the face of the E-planet
Life, death, promotion, sitting by the smoldering ruins of computers, exams, depressed cat and no internet......bugger
Well its been a while but boy have I been busy. trying to get to a compy has driven me mad but I thought I'd better do something or people will think i've fallen off the face of the planet (as I have already been told).
Life goes on. Marilyn and I have been out loads; theatre, resturants, hotels, camping, more theatre - pheer the purchase power of two proffessionals with no dependent kids.
Rampage died and I am trying not to think about it. He was old for a cat (17ish) and hadn't been well for some time. Not going to dwell on that any more.
I have been unable to get to a computer (more accurately the time) at work as I have been temporarly promoted to 'Team Leader' (gods I hate management speak). I have already had someone hauled over the coals for saying that I was only promoted because I was a 'minority demographic and it looks good on the books'. I freaked out completely and started to rant about how much work I had done for the area office and local area section and meetings done and, and, and so on. Then I reported them to HR. A woman scorned (and a dyke pissed off)
I'm still having major problems with compy. Dave has helped as best he can and has lent me his spare lap top again. Upshot is very proradic internet and suffering from game withdrawal (when i do get on I camp FF and do as much as I can - sad gamer girl I am)- I'm having to slake my FF thirst with 12 (just as well its a good one then) But with all the living we are doing I'm hardly a full time gamer girl.
Marilyn has finished all her exams, reports and essays which means that as soon as they have been marked she is a professor (or doctor i'm never sure). This is one of the reasons I have had little computer time. The reason for me playing FF was because Marilyn was doing all her course work.....
Tigga is morning the loss of rampage. He seems so lost in the house on his own. His sleeping partner and sparring buddy has gone and he is soooo down. Marilyn and I are thinking about getting another cat (or two) but I'm too upset about Rampage to really put any mind to it.
Jess - I hope everthing is going well. I'll try and pop onto AIM but the laptops blockers work overtime and it hates AOL and AIM (and msn).
