WOW!! Three years
I am not going to do a major post or blog. No wall-o-text.
Just that I recently started to interact with the greater web population. I never was a great E-community woman and so its a bit of a culture shock.
I know I play (and still play) FFXI and I have a community thing going there but all in all I have kept off the net. But then there was Xena.
Don't laugh (like anyone is actually reading this) but since I discovered Xena I HAD to join an online community.
I know now why I missed XWP the first time arround but arriving at it this late meant that I knew next to no-one that watched the show anymore. I an wanted to rave about it and be with people that felt the same way.
In a way I am glad I didn't get into first time arround. I would have been a real obsessive fangirl. As it is now as its a dead show there are nature breaks. I can obsess but only to a degree. My sanity is safe. Well, to a degree ^_^
So after watching 66 eps in 4 weeks (thats more than 2 a day) I found I neeeeeded some xenite contact so I ventured forth unto google and did a little research and came across a forum site dedicated to XEEEENAAAA (XOC FTW).
It was when I started to read and catch up with the Xenites that I realised something which I knew but sort of forgot. There are a lot of fans of Xena that are gay.
Yes I know I am stating the bloody obvious (I am a fan and gay as well). But I have never been a member of the online gay community. Oh sure I am gay and I use the internet but still...
Its a bit of a culture shock, but in a fun way.
