Still like the hosts, hate the Swedish commentators. Really liked the breakdancing to Bach thing.

Bosnia & Herzegovina - qualified
Such a great start to the evening. It's such a lovely song, and I love everyone on stage, especially the girl with the least convincing piano playing ever. And I love the screen looking like draped fabric.

Austria - qualified
I don't like this. I think it's fantastically boring. But I knew it would qualify. I mean, considering people voted for Lithuania in the first semi, they are clearly desperate for this kind of ballads.

The Netherlands - didn't qualify
Oh, it definitely sounds like a Michael Learns To Rock song, I just can't think of which one. Of course, they all sound rather alike, so... The singer looks so incredibly smarmy! The white suit? Not a good idea! The song is fine, I rather like it. But it doesn't elevate above fine. Which is the kiss of death in this competition. Still, it's not Shine, and it's not Sha-la-lie, so the Netherlands, I am so proud of you! Keep it up!

Belgium - didn't qualify
This definitely went on for more than three minutes. It felt at least twice as long. It's sad when the songs make you itch to press the mute button on the remote. I could tolerate it until the beatboxing started, but then... no. Go back to the imaginary languages, Belgium!

Slovakia - didn't qualify
Well, at least the wind machine got a workout.

Ukraine - qualified
OMG, that sand painting was one of the coolest things I have ever seen! I could watch that for hours! I was disappointed every time the camera cut to the (incredibly pretty) singer. So awesome! And the song is great, and it was well sung, and I love this! Mostly for the sand, but for everything else too.

Moldova - qualified
Awesome hats! Not surprised this qualified, but it's definitely not my thing.

Sweden - qualified
Boooo! I thought he sounded like shit, but I've been told I'm too harsh. I don't care. I don't like it.

Cyprus - didn't qualify
Nooo! Christos Mylordos didn't qualify! And they did such wonderful leaning! The harmonies were iffy as hell, but who cares? I loved it!

Bulgaria - didn't qualify
This was a song who didn't know what it wanted to be. It sounded like rock, but it looked like Disney ballad. You can't do white flowy dresses and grand pianos and stars in the background to this type of song!

FYR Macedonia - didn't qualify
He managed to be even more annoying live than in the video. Well done!

Israel - didn't qualify
Europe, you suck! I am not talking to you anymore.

Slovenia - qualified
Now, that's a metallic dress! Looks powerful enough to stop a sword. I was pleasantly surprised by this, it sounded a lot better than I thought. And she got rid of the highly annoying dancers and replaced them with hot choir girls. I approve!

Romania - qualified
I have a thing for men in stripey pants. (omg, Jason Orange in The Circus tour) And he sings really well, and looks properly happy, and I'm pretty much in love. Lovely song, and a nice bit of hand clapping toward the end. Woo!

Estonia - qualified
It all looks like a comic strip! Or liquorice allsorts! I want to eat the entire stage and everyone on it! This is pure Eurovision joy for me. Fun and colorful and camp, and pretty shaky vocals. Love it!

Belarus - didn't qualify
Awful in every way. Worst vocals of the evening. Ha!

Latvia - didn't qualify
How many rappers will it take till we know that all they do is ruin things? Sounded a lot better than I thought, actually, but still not good.

Denmark - qualified
Love it! Easily the best entry of the evening!

Ireland - qualified
Maybe Jedward would make more of an impact if we hadn't already seen the haircuts on Bulgaria and Denmark. But yeah, I maybe sorta kinda loved it a bit of a lot. *hides*

I had 6 out of 10 on the ones I wanted to move on the final, and 8 out of 10 on the ones I thought would move on, which is pretty good. I'm sad Cyprus didn't make it, and annoyed that Sweden did make it, but other than that, I'm very happy with the result.

Is it Saturday yet?
