[Well, this is an embarrassingly familiar situation for Gwaine. Excuse him while he just grunts incoherantly and hauls you closer. He may not be able to remember much, up to and including your name, but he's pretty sure you were willing.]

[There are many worse things to do than spending a night with Gwaine, and Merlin will smile as he presses his face to Gwaine's neck. Kissing the ever present necklace briefly. Half asleep and half awake Merlin only mumbles against the man's skin.]
How can someone argue with eloquence like that? [He laughs softly, without opening his eyes. Merlin snuggles a little more and stays where he's being held. It is not worth the effort to fight Gwaine's insistence.]

[Being a magical artifact, Excalibur doesn't need sleep. Or get drunk. Gwaine apparently can get drunk, however, and so the majority of sword-man's evening had been spent tagging around behind the swordsman and making sure he wasn't far behind if Gwaine decided to punch, break, or jump off something. (Gwaine didn't, notably. It'd been very dissappointing. There had been some flirting with various people, but that's nowhere near as exciting as a good fight.)
And instead Excalibur has for roughly seven mostly-clothed, fully-awake hours, been trapped under either one of Gwaine's arms or shoulders. Bored out of his mind as he is, he wouldn't dream of shucking the will of one of the Knights of Camelot, so he'll just wait patiently until Gwaine wakes up.
And he's good at waiting. Seriously. That whole waiting thing? He's got it down.]

[More groaning as consciousness forces itself rapidly and extremely unwelcomely upon Gwaine.]
Gods above and below. My head.....
[It's at that point the distant and nagging knowledge that he's not alone makes itself um, known. Gwaine takes one look at who it actually is he has pinned down and shoots bolt upright and lands on the floor in a heap] Excalibur?!

Sir, [he greets.]
You seem to have slept well, to be able to move like this!

[He pushes himself more upright with a groan.]
Um, tell me lad, what exactly happened last night?

Drinking and dancing, for one-- You may enjoy knowing that you are popular with both women, and men.

And once we got back here, what happened?

Gwen?! [That wasn't a panicked squeak at all. It was a manly expression of confusion]
