I'm going to assume this music box isn't a present from you, Cronqvist. It hardly goes along with your tastes.

Private to Mr. Reeve. Completely Unhackable )

Pardon my language, but like hell you will, Sir Hellsing. If it comes down to it, I will request that Mr. Cronqvist throw you in a cage if necessary. If they really think me a mastermind, then so much the better. The people have to have someone who knows enough to keep track of a rebellion, and I'm afraid you're elected. The pay's lousy, but I hear it has a lovely pension plan.

... I appreciate the concern, but we knew what the consequenses were going to be when we went into this. I wasn't expecting the death penalty, but... well. If you do end up doing something foolish like proclaiming yourself in public, I will disavow any knowledge of your involvement. And... I have hope for the future, as bleak as it may look now. So, please... keep an eye out on Rufus and Atsuko? Once the trial starts... things may not go well, and I want to at least make sure people are taken care of when I can't be there.

A leader who allows a member of his and her group take an unfair sacrifice isn't a true one. I allowed that happened recently and I regret the outcome. A leader also must assume responsibility and look after those who follow them. It's not the other way around, Mr. Reeve.

As for leading a rebellion. Are you completely serious? My goals aren't to oppose in violence but rather try to gather information to send us all back home without placing our worlds in possible peril. I'm unfit for that mission.

Yes, but we're not an official group, now, are we? I acted on my own free will, without anyone else's input, so that makes me a free agent. Let's face it, I made the decision to do this and to take responsibility on my own shoulders... and I never back down. I've stood against angels and alien gods and my own Planet; I won't back down from this.

I never said violence, Sir Hellsing. But they do need someone to be an example of rationality. And... when even speaking about returing home is a crime, just looking for ways towards it is an act of rebellion in and of itself. (If you want someone to lead a violent rebellion, talk to Sephiroth. Or Rufus- the Turks know quite a bit about espionage themselves.

Do what you must, but please- do not interfere with this trial. i won't have innocent people hurt for my actions.

Rebellions are never official, Mr. Reeve. That would contradict their nature.

...

I respect your desire and courage. For that, I shan't interfere with your choice. But, if you are found guilty, I don't know if I will be able to keep your friends in line from trying something.

Hopefully, I could direct that emotion into something constructive. Become "official," for instance.

I did not leave you a music box, my Lady. Were I to gift you with something, it would be far more useful.

I knew it. The Succubus appeared fond of the box, so I gave it to her.

. . . does the box, perchance vibrate?

I dislike having foreign things in the place. I shall dispose of it.
