Friday evening debramcp and I decided to introduce Roughy and Finnegan to each other. It consisted mostly of hissing, growling, hiding under the coffee table, and ugly-looking (though apparently not damaging) fights. After some hours of this, we separated them again for the night. We were worried that this was not going to go well

Those are some sweet furrbeasts you have there!

Do you keep their claws trimmed? You can get a specialized catclaw cutting device which if used every two weeks will prevent vorpality.

We did trim their claws, but not until Sunday, when they were already over the roughest fighting. We should have done it earlier, but we hadn't been planning for such inter-kitty violence.
