I went to a fibre festival this morning, and got a drop spindle, beginner roving and some gorgeous handdyed, handspun yarn. I spent $40 in as many minutes.

I'm okay with that. :)

i will help you with your yarning thing if you will help me with my computering thing.

as in, modding my case and installing some new hard drives i bought today.

ive spent WAY too much money this past week.

but i now have 500 gigs to play with.

and two cool graphic novels.

Eee, shiny! It will be ages before I have time and money enough to justify a spindle.

A drop spindle cost me $13, and I bought a pretty one. I have seen them for up to $60. You can make one for about $5.

Now, it'll be years before I have enough money before I can justify buying a wheel again... :(

It's not so much the spindle itself as the implied commitment to buying pretty roving and learning to spin...I already have an untenable number of projects on the go.

One day though, one day.

Fibre festival? As in, keeping one's self regular?
