Training is going well. Six months ago....I just wanted to say that my IM training was consistent, but I can honestly say that my training has been better than I could have ever imagined. I noticed it of myself that as I got close -- and you're, what? 17 days out now -- that my mind switched gears to "injury avoidance" and "maintenance" rather than new training thresholds. The work is banked, you're physically, technically (and probably tactically and mentally) ready. The workouts might not officially be taper yet, but have more high-five, back-slapping, hand-shaking going on rather than solo, blue-collar, dig deep working too hard going on! Oh, do enjoy the final couple of weeks, the lead-in to the race, the reflection of the past 6 months, the trip, the 1st!!
