Went around to a few spots today. Unfortunately, I only had low-res versions of the old photographs displayed on my phone to work from, so they're not exact, but... still a fun exercise!

Ha ha, yes! Well, these were taken (in some cases) with a year of the end of WWII, so the island had just been retaken in a huge battle.
