I really could not care less about the Stanley Cup playoffs, but I find the following things related to the Stanley Cup playoffs interesting and/or retarded
( Read more... )
not caring about first 2!!!!!! but 3 is pretty fucked up and I feel like there should be a policy against this sort of thing.
#4 is more the mentality of drunken idiot morons that major league sports draw out, and booing the national anthem of anyone is pretty miserable. I've spent a lot more time at AHL games than I have at NHL games, but I've never once heard anyone boo the Canadian national anthem, but booing the other team, yes, definitely.
The guys on your team are probably all from Finland anyway.
I think this is a particularly funny point, because people always root for the "home team" but how many people on it are from there? None, most likely! This is why I'm amused with the amount of griping about "bringing the cup back to Canada." I always liked teams for arbitrary reasons when I was a kid and ended up sticking with it I guess. D:
Dark secret: I got kicked out of my first Bruins game because I made a scene when security wouldn't let me in with a bag and they ripped my ticket up and escorted me out, and when I was so pissed everyone was like "relax man there will be more bruins games!!!!!" but the reason I was mad about that one was because I was there to see the leafs play :[
The first time I went to see a WWF show I had a tiny box of Raisin Bran. Like the kind you get in the mail. For some reason the guard asked me why I had a box of Raisin Bran but I guess it was a good question because I truthfully responded "to throw at the Undertaker".
