Kate lost her mittens today. She remembered exactly where she'd left them but it was on a park bench when her class went on field trip to a park near her school. Of course the park is in exactly the wrong direction from our house. Three cheers for taking twice as long to get home from the school. Kate was so tired that two blocks from our house

you mean I can just pop those AAs out and leave the little bugger in the corner until I feel like playing with it again? Hell yeah, I'm gonna have me some kids!

I went through so many gloves as a child it's actually left me quite paranoid about where my gloves are at any given moment. Drove my parents nuts. they stopped buying me gloves because I couldn't hold onto them.

My mom used to crochet a chain and then sew the chain to my mittens and my coat so I couldn't lose them. usually my sister and I would wear them out before we lost them... or intentionally lose them so we could get new ones... unfortunately when I did that to Nate's the cats thought "Oh new toy!"
