Last night I had a dream that started with Twilight Sparkle trying to bake treats for Princess Cadence' bridal shower. Then aliens invaded and Princess Celestia had to call in a favour from Captain Picard to fight them off.

Also, my decision to be More Active has been postponed on account of Snow.

Picard wouldn't do it however, on account of the Prime Directive. She should have called up Kirk, Janeway, or Archer. The first two would find a way to save peaceful little ponies and damn the prime directive, and Archer was a starship captain Pre-Prime Directive.

Wait, does contact with another starfaring race automatically mean it's not a case of Prime Directive interference, since the barn door's already open? The idea is for pre-warp cultures to develop on their own, and an invasion pretty much shatters that.

Also, Picard can bend the Prime Directive with the best of them. We just have to put up with monologs about how 'is this really the right thing to do'? for dramatic tension.

Or else have Worf shoot them down from orbit.

This has nothing to do with your dream, but you reminded me that I had a dream some time over the weekend that I was travelling around in someone's nose and my view was obscured by their nasal hair.
