lately it been lots of movies. and lots of music. and books. and lots of things and ideas i can lose myself in. losing yourself is the most amazing feeling ever. maybe even better than a hot shower and feeling absolutely clean and relaxed. maybe not. i'm not so sure on that. but i guess i'm not really sure on a lot of issues right now, so i suppose ( Read more... )

Where is this utopia with the intellects? I've concluded that most people don't posses these qualities . . . Definitely agree with quality over quantity. And yes, the beauty is in the breakdown -- Garden State, December 28 on DVD.

i wish i knew. it sure isn't here, and perhaps i'm a part of it. but i will surely be seeing that movie again soon, if not once, two or three times.

I mentioned garden state because you mentioned 'the beauty's in the breakdown' . . . a lyric from Frou Frou's song which is in the movie . . . but maybe that's from somewhere else.

I think we're all in love with something that doesn't exist -- damned MTV culture.

this quote of yours "the years were short but the days went slowly by...
" is rad. what is with you and intellectuals. you have to be careful of such people. intelligent males age 18-25 have the best chance to become schizophrenic. (i know i can't spell) note* this comment isn't BS, kristin told me this fact. so anyways beautiful-peck its good that you voted and i'm glad your on a path of self discovery rather than a path of self annihilation such as me where i an swirling farther and farther into a black abyss. i will leave you with some good information for life: vanilla candles are good for the soul and rotten bananas are meant for the trash can not the human stomach. |end|

that's actually a shins quote, but i agree with it wholeheartdly.
and maybe the intellectuals are crazy--but is that a bad thing? those are the most fun people who create the most amazing art and so forth the majority of the time.
but i will keep that last part in mind... even if we aren't allowed to have candles in the dorm and i think i've only eaten one good banana since i've gotten here.

You should use the word "perhaps" instead of "maybe".

Personally, I like it better.

I'm not taking offense, but I think it's quite an accomplishment to write/direct/star in an original film. But hey . . . that's me.

dont get me wrong, im entertained by it. i mean i saw it 3 times within a 2 week period. i just find it funny how everyone is creaming their pants over it. it was quite an accomplishment to write/direct/star in it, but it doesnt mean it wasnt overly cliche, not to mention, had one of the most hurried and predictable endings, ever.

its just one of those things that is so appealing to indie/emo/trendy/hipster demographic, which i guess is not a bad thing becuase i enjoy consuming, watching, and partaking in most of those things too. so im just as bad as the rest of us.

ha i like the comparison because it's so true.
and yes, the movie has been blown to epic proportions, but just because many people enjoy it, albeit superfically perhaps, does not have to take away from the quality of the production. hopefully.
