I know! My 11 year old cousin has her own cell phone. It's so bizarre. Not that there's anything wrong with technology and communication but there need to be limits!

I feel the same way- what in the world does a kid need a FB page for?! A lot of Annabelle's friends have one, but she doesnt. I am very uneasy about letting them get one before they are in high school. With all the bullying and nastiness on FB- not interested! I dont even go on mine a ton. Same thing with cell phones- what does a 10 year old need a cell phone for?! We have one phone that the girls share that is only used when they are at sports or somewhere that I cant be so they have it for emergencies. Thats it!

I have a cousin and some friends who have let their 7 and 8 year old kids get FB pages. I don't get it either. I won't let my kids have one - they haven't asked yet, but even if they do, it's not happening in this house. There are plenty of other websites they can go to during the time they get on their computer - but, then, we're the parents who really like all the video games and websites they play with to be somewhat educational and we have specific channels, games and websites we will allow them to visit - and we make sure they stick to that list or at least ask before trying something new. :) Call us overprotective if you will, but they're 7, 5 and 3 and I just feel like sheltering them a little longer isn't a bad idea. :)

My 10 year old cousin has it, and I dont get it! I think it's far too young. And he already had it deactivated once by his mom for posting an inappropriate video from youtube on his wall!
