I had been driving this little old Ford Ranger for a good while.  Taking my boys to school in it was always interesting, but we functioned.  About a month and half ago, someone literally rammed the Ranger all the way up into our yard from where it was parked by the curb for the night, totalling it

In this instance, I say "anger issues" because, at the time I discovered the theft, my response was... over the top. No one was really around except my family, so they were the only ones who saw the level of my reaction, but I just exploded. Even when anger is understandable, such as in cases of crap like this, I want to do better.

I can't control the actions of anyone else. However, I want my actions and responses to be ones of love, no matter the circumstance. No one else expects that of me, especially in cases like this, but that is, nevertheless, my desire for myself.

Okay, seriously, time for the booby traps and/or setting up a camera looking out at your vehicle. Gods, that part of Arlington has done downhill.

I thought about that very thing this morning. I could be truly evil if I were to really put some of the things I and my friends know to use.

Actually, what I think would be much more appropriate, and funny, is if they pull out some of those songs, maybe start playing them a little, and the lyrics start getting to them.

I think it would be kind of awesome if this particular theft helps turn the life of some delinquent around.

If they're unplugging the DVD base unit and taking it, how hard would it be to, say, do the same with a replacement and take it with you when you go in at night? Kind of like a giant version of the removable stereo faceplates...

This particular DVD player had a set mount it was on. They took the time to remove it from the mount.

Still, to answer you, if I replace the DVD player again, that's what I'll do. I'll take it inside every night. I just simply won't leave anything they can steal. A bit of a hassle, but oh, well.

And if I replace my stereo, I plan to get one with a detachable face and take that in too. Every night.
