After learning how to use the vibratome today I came home, had dinner, and then laid down for what was supposed to be a 40 minute nap. Except that I slept until 10:45pm. I woke up and decided to get up and brush my teeth since they felt gross and drink water because I was dehydrated, but now I'm on the computer of course and not back to sleep yet. ( Read more... )

Today is a little like a Friday because I won't be in lab tomorrow. I've got training in the morning on campus and a TA meeting in the afternoon, and little to do in the lab yet, so it's a campus day. So I really should be doing something about the horrible state of my apartment, like cleaning. Except that I didn't do that. Instead I just shoved most of what was on my coffee table onto the floor and started up a puzzle. Yeah, homekeeping and responsibleness fail right there, but I HAVE A PUZZLE!!

I started watching Lost on netflix and I'm partway through the 2nd season. Something is bothering the crap out of me about this series though. Where the fuck do all the tarps come from?! There's like 50 of them, and more materialize each episode!

I went bar hopping with two of my friends last night. We ended up finishing the night at Little Prague at a table comparing New York and Oregon to California. Also, we were talking about how saying you're a grad student is a total turn-off for guys.
